I provide two services: individual psychological treatment and psychological assessment (mainly for employers). In the main my practice centres around drug and alcohol misuse and its interaction with other mental heath problems such as stress, trauma, anxiety, depression and personality disorders.
Some therapists also offer couples therapy, family therapy or group therapy—and these approaches can be extremely helpful—but I specialise in helping adults and adolescents individually, where we can work together towards meaningful and long-lasting change. I generally don’t work with children under sixteen, because that involves skills in play therapy and other techniques that I don’t possess. I also don’t work with serious eating disorders or gender identity issues, both of which involve specialised approaches I don’t know well enough to offer. If you have these concerns, you can still reach out to me; while not able to help you myself, I would be happy to recommend one of my colleagues who specialises in the help you need.
If you’re interested in my services, you can read more about them in the subsections to this page. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
